The ARCTIC MX-7 4g Thermal Paste is a high-performance thermal compound designed to provide efficient heat transfer between processors and cooling solutions. Part of ARCTIC's popular MX series, MX-7 combines low thermal resistance, long-lasting stability and safe application, making it an excellent choice for PC building, upgrades and hardware servicing.
MX-7 features a dense, performance-optimised consistency created through its high filler content. Once the cooler is installed, mounting pressure distributes the thermal paste into a thin and uniform layer across the contact surface, helping achieve efficient heat transfer while minimising unwanted air pockets.
Its high cohesion helps combat the pump-out effect caused by repeated heating and cooling cycles. This allows MX-7 to maintain consistent performance over extended periods while resisting drying, cracking and leakage.
Application is straightforward using ARCTIC's recommended cross-pattern method. The pressure of the installed cooler spreads the compound naturally across the processor surface, so manual spreading with a spatula is neither required nor recommended for MX-7.
MX-7 is electrically non-conductive and non-capacitive, helping reduce the risk of electrical short circuits around sensitive components. It is suitable for a wide variety of cooling applications including desktop CPUs, graphics cards, laptops and games consoles.
