The ARCTIC MX-7 2g Thermal Paste is a high-performance thermal compound designed to provide efficient heat transfer between processors and cooling solutions. Developed as part of ARCTIC's popular MX series, MX-7 combines low thermal resistance with long-lasting stability, making it an excellent choice for new PC builds, cooler installations and servicing existing hardware.

MX-7 features a dense, performance-optimised consistency with a high filler content. When the cooler is installed, mounting pressure distributes the compound into a thin and uniform layer across the contact surface, helping minimise air pockets and maximise heat transfer.

Its high cohesion helps resist the pump-out effect that can occur through repeated heating and cooling cycles. This allows the thermal compound to maintain consistent performance over extended periods without easily drying out, cracking or leaking.

Application is straightforward: ARCTIC recommends applying MX-7 in a cross pattern, allowing the pressure from the installed cooler to spread the compound naturally across the processor surface. Due to its specially formulated consistency, MX-7 is not intended to be manually spread with a spatula.
